plan

You will show me the path of life. In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forever more. Psalm 16:11 NKJV.

Family,

It’s in our human nature to make our own plans and then ask God to bless them.  In doing so, we often find that our plans are not always the best or beneficial.  Jeremiah 29:11 NIV tells us: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. Before making any life decisions we should purpose to pray and ask God to show us the path that He has for our life. God must be the foundation that we place our trust in so we can stand firmly in every aspect of our daily actions and decision-making. When we first seek God for direction and obey His commands, it’ll prevent us from traveling down any path that would bring us harm. When we understand that God’s plan is to prosper us and give us hope, we can rest in His presence which is full of joy. The joy of the Lord is not only assurance in knowing that He’s in control of the details of our life, but it’s the gladness that permeates our hearts which comes from abiding in Christ and being filled with the Holy Spirit.

As believers in Christ, every day we should seek and cherish above all else intimate fellowship with God. The Lord’s continual presence at our right hand brings us His counsel, protection, joy, resurrection, and eternal blessings.

As we purpose to abide daily in the presence of the Lord and His joy overflows in our hearts, we can sing the lyrics as written by Georgia Mass Choir: Joy, Joy, God’s great joy. Joy, Joy down in my soul. Sweet, beautiful, soul-saving joy, Oh joy, joy in my soul.

In His Service,

Pastor Rose
