Family,
Isaiah 43:18-18 NKJV
18. Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.
19. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
The month of September often marks a new beginning. Students return to school anticipating having an awesome scholastic year. Football season commences along with the magnificent collegiate and high school marching bands. When I was in High School, every Friday prior to the start of classes, the band, majorettes and poms would march through the hallways playing the high school fight song and performing routines. Then, at the end of the school day, we would have a prep rally to cheer on our football team. I can hear the drum cadence even now which stirs me to begin marching with high steps. Indeed, it was a time of excitement.
However, this time of year for many may not be as exciting because you are reminiscing on events that were not pleasant the previous school year. Events such as bullying, peer pressure or the struggle to pass classes.
As we enter this school year, the Lord says “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old”. Meaning; last year was last year. Forget all that transpired last year. Last year is nothing compared to what God is going to do for you this year. God is going to do something new. He has already begun to do it.
Remember: ALL THINGS NEW
Have an awesome 2018-2019 academic year.
In His Service,
Pastor Rose
