Family,

"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."

-Psalm 34:19

Indeed, year 2017 had many afflicting situations. But, yet, the Lord enabled us to come through each of them. As we enter year 2018, the Lord says it's a new beginning. It is of utmost importance that we no longer permit troubling times to bring us to a halt. In-spite of unpleasant or distressing situations, we must adjust and keep moving forward.

As we move forward, remember that the Lord's thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways. The Lord's thoughts toward us are of peace and not of evil, to give us a future and a hope.

Because of this, The Lord desires for us to intensify our prayer life. He desires for us to call on Him and ask for guidance in everything that we do. For the Lord says in Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV "Call to Me and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things you have not known".

Often when we pray to the Lord, because He doesn't answer us immediately or in our time frame, we think He doesn't hear our prayers. But the Lord desires for us to be encouraged in knowing that He hears our prayers and He shall answer them according to His plan.

Therefore, in knowing this and knowing that the Lord knows what is best for us, let us trust Him. Let us not lean to our own understanding. In all our ways, in everything that we do, let us acknowledge Him. For, if we do so, the Lord shall direct our paths.

Year 2018.... A New Beginning !

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
