Family,
Although a spiritual battle between good and evil is constantly going on around us, it's easy toneglect giving it our attention since the spiritual forces at work are usually invisible.
The Bible urges us to pay attention to the battles taking place in the unseen spiritual realm. Thus, we as the body of Christ can no longer ignore these battles.
Scripture says in 1 peter 5:8-9 NLT
8. Stay alert! watch out for your great enemy, the devil, he prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
9. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of sufferings you are.
Therefore, to fight and to overcome spiritual battles we must:
1. Stay alert and watch. We must ask God to give us spiritual eyesight.
2. Stand firm against the devil. However, not in our own power and might, but rather, the power and might of Jesus. For God says "I have given you my authority to do so in my son's name, Jesus Christ".
3. Remember that we are not unique. The devil would have us think that we are the only ones who are going through troubled times. But God says, we are not unique, for our Christian brothers and sisters are going through the same kind of sufferings we are.
Family
The Lord says it's time for a call to arms. It's time for us to stop having a pity party and rise up and confront the enemy in Jesus' Name. It's time to defend against the enemy's attempt in taking our peace, our joy, separating us from the body of Christ and most of all separating us from God.
The question is how do we confront the enemy? We confront the enemy by using our spiritual weapons. We confront the enemy with through fervent effectual prayer, with the Word of God an by praising and worshipping God.
Again, Family, the Lord says
"IT'S TIME FOR A CALL TO ARMS" in JESUS NAME.
