For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)

As we are in a time of self-examination and reflection on the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we should be comforted in knowing that God loves each of us very much. Scripture states that whosoever believes in the Son of God, who is Jesus, shall not perish. To believe is more than having an intellectual agreement that Jesus is the Son of God. To believe means to place our trust and confidence in Jesus; for He is the only one who can save us from the wages of sin which is death. To believe is placing Jesus in charge of our personal desires and eternal destiny. Believing is to trust God’s Word as being true and reliable. As we believe and apply God’s Word to our lives, we will find that we will no longer copy the behavior and customs of this world. But rather, yield to God for Him to transform us by changing the way we think. As we change the way we think, we will learn to know God’s will for our lives which is good, pleasing and perfect.

In His Service,

Pastor Rose
